BODbus No. 1 AE56 HGD
Registered 30/09/2006 Minibus W.A.V.
LDV Maxus 3.5 120 2500cc Diesel engine
Capacity: 11 passengers reducing by 2 for each wheelchair space required.
BODbus No. 1 was purchased on 01/08/2009 as a newly converted minibus from David Fishwick minibus sales of Colne in Lancashire.
It was then sent to Specialised Vehicle Services (Dorset) to be upgraded with automatic steps, audible warning system, warning and flood lights and sound system. It is also has a hands free phone device and the most up to date satellite navigation system.
BODbus No. 2 was originally purchased by
Hoddesdon Rotoract Club for The Broxbourne MS Society, when that closed in 2004, it was donated to the Marie Foster Centre in Barnet. When this centre also closed, it was donated back to us and needed drastic restoration and upgrade was stripped down and repainted, windows resealed and sent to SVS (Dorset) for an identical upgrade as No.1 plus LPG conversion. The picture above shows our Local MP and Patron of Broxbourne Organisation for the Disabled Charles Walker having a go in the newly acquired Bodbus and Dennis Dawson our then regular driver with Councillor Hazel Jackson looking on.

Capacity: Single wheelchair access plus 3 passengers
One of our later acquisitions, after several modifications, painting and sign writing is now in permanent service.
